Fresh Green Smoothie

It was the end of my week and I didn’t have much food left. I searched the fridge and this is what I came up with. Simple, healthy, refreshing and delicious! This came out super yummy!! Love when that happens! It’s perfect for a morning or lunch pick me up or snack. You can even strain it and have it as a juice if you’d like. My friend was over for a play date that day and her and her toddler also enjoyed it. In fact my kids also thought it was tasty! Always great when the kids love the veggies!! BONUS!  I called this my fresh green smoothie because almost everything in it was green (minus the lemon + banana). I didn’t have any actual lettuce or greens left otherwise I probably would have used some. I bet it would taste good if you threw a handful in though.  Enjoy!

Ingredients:

10oz Filtered water

2 Persian Cucumbers

2 Celery sticks

2 Small pears

1/2 Large Green Apple

1/2 of a Lemon (peel removed)

1 Frozen Banana

2 TBS Chia Seeds

Directions:

Place ingredients in your high speed blender in the order above and blend! Serve immediately. You can also place these in popsicle molds for a yummy frozen snack later! Perfect for kids!!

Yields: About 32oz. I was able to serve Four 8oz glasses.
