So I bought some pecan butter at the farmers market recently and it tasted SOOO good. Only problem is it was SO expensive! So I decided to try and make my own at home to save a little money. It tasted exactly the same and was half the price! woo hoo! Enjoy!
- 8oz raw pecans
- 1/8 tsp pink himalayan sea salt
Blend pecans in food processor for a bit. Then add salt (optional). Then finish blending. Blend until creamy consistency happens. Takes only a few minutes. I used this
food processor and did it in 2 batches. I tried the full 8oz of pecans in there but the texture came out different. So I prefer to do it in half. If you have a larger food processor then it should be fine to do all of it at once. Use a rubber spatula to remove all the yummy goodness out and place it in a glass jar. I used these. Store in your fridge.
Enough to put in these 8oz mason jars.
**Special note: If you don’t digest nuts well it would be a good idea to soak the nuts first, roast them with some coconut oil in the oven and then blend.
