Do You Know What is in Your Food?

I am amazed and awed by what is in our food nowadays. And not in a good way. Ever since I became a mother and decided to make my own baby food I have discovered the reality that a lot of food in the US is genetically modified (GMO). I avoid eating GMO food whenever possible! The increase of cancer, infertility and other diseases in the US ever since GMO’s were introduced is alarming. Why does the US allow these foods to be sold without labeling while other countries have banned it all together? Take a look at this eye opening video of a mom (Robyn O’brien) who decided to change her eating habits after her young daughter had an allergic reaction to the breakfast she made for her. This video is a must see and worth 18 minutes of your time.

What is a GMO?

Plants or animals that have had their genetic makeup altered to exhibit traits that are not naturally theirs.
-From the glossary on the Monsanto website.
